Email Newsletter Makeover
When we started working with Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marietta, GA, their email newsletter was a short preview of content only available when you clicked a link to visit their website and download the PDF version of their weekly newsletter.
While the document was viewed by many of the current congregation members we had to wonder whether new folks would be willing to follow so many steps to stay engaged with what was happening at LCR.
So we simplified the process in a whole bunch of ways!
We created a streamlined weekly email rich with visuals and a few key events along with a calendar of upcoming activities and a link to a monthly magazine we developed to expand the space we had to tell stories. The magazine pushed LCR and our team to plan ahead and also gave us the ability to more easily plan out our weekly emails because we knew what was coming up! We repurposed content from the magazine to post on the website and linked that content on social, creating a much more content-rich experience that also boosted traffic to the website.
